i like this idea.

we need something for the high level players and something to promote some fun group hunting, so it would really require something strong enough so that one player is not able to kill it alone. How about maby give the creture some abilitys that forces you to have to use the group attack mechanics. Maby make the creture able to make you loose inits or something like that so you would have no choice but to use the group abilitys, maby add some new group abillity.

Award and motivation for the kill might be a high amount of LP devided by the group and naturally higher level bones, meat, and hides.

And trophys for use or just for boasting. :)

I like this idea more than anything else.

Oh, i really like this idea, but i agree with the dragon idea ... sad as it seems, make them like the group dungeons. Like killing a dragon, a giant, something that isnt going to get 1hited, something that takes tactics. Man, if any part of this happened i may lose my gf...

den/burrows make sense for a lot of animals, like beavers, badgers, possibly mink and various other critters that could be low to moderate level, maybe wolverines for a high level animal. i like the idea of them being similar to anthills. you could raid it and eat their baby

Even tho i love the idea of dragons and giants and such, i have a feeling the devs might not like adding fantasy elements to the game. If they do (there is a slight chance since they actually added Ents and such) heh :D), im all for dragons. If they dont, we need to come up with something real i guess. One idea is to actually make the Bear take that place and then add some other animal to replace the bears in the wild like wolfes or something similar. Or maby make it wolfes den so you will have to face the hole pack of wolfes with intelligent abillitys. im trying to think of the most fearsome animals we have here in Sweden for example but really the Bear is in fact one of the most dangerous animals out there right now. hmm maby some type of cat, like Cougar, Lynx or something like that... even tho the moose is quite dangerous its not that cool having a vegetarion as a fearsome animal

i tryed to have a look at the extinct animals in europe and actually to my surprise found Cave Bear :D
Cave Bear http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cave_Bear
Cave Hyena http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cave_Hyena
Cave Lion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panthera_leo_spelaea
Caspian Tiger http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caspian_Tiger

a list of extinct animals http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_extinct_animals_of_Europe

more suggestions anyone?

Lions,
Wolves,
Rhinoes (those when they get angry are relly dangerous)
Tigers,
Pumas,
WhiteBears - those are the most dangerous of bears, well I read it somewhere - no flames for this

Lycanthropes are not that fantasy as it might seem:
Were-rabbits
Were-mouflons
Were-Ants
Were-Cocks (I like those the most) :D
...

Well - the were part is joke, apparently.
