Not the same, that means you'd need a wagon for each cow.

They also walk away from a wagon after a certain amount of time.

perhaps the same mechanic could be applied to roundpole fence posts or perhaps a new "stake" object

also i've never seen my cattle detach from their wagon, and i've had one tied up for weeks.

an option to tie them to a roundpole corner post would be amazing. Even have it use a rope, I wouldn't mind.
