Animals are all over the place and respawn regardless. Unless we claim the entire world somehow, they're always going to be here.

And as for the new tree update, well, you can still clear cut forests and leave a big mark if I'm not mistaken.
(Takes maybe a week for a tree to grow, possibly half an hour for an animal to spawn.

No.

Animals breath out CO2, thus fucking up the global climate.

Hence they must all die to save the planet!

This game is the cutting edge of realism, and therefore we should factor global fucking warming into the simulation.

Returning to the topic, it has been suggested before. A few reasons included:

-People don't know what a runestone is or what to do with it. People would try harder to figure out how to read a sign.
-They would be easier to destroy/replace than runestones.
-Wicker baskets are makeshift and work but it won't catch a stranger's attention.

If the world lacks CO2 then that would mean the planet would run out of a resource that makes it warm in the first place!
This means if you lower it TOO much, you end up having a frozen planet.

CO2 does get created naturally too (Volcanos), but the majority of it comes from living beings.

Come to speak of it... Why don't we have volcanos and lava?
It could work as a double edge sword, a volcano would provide rich high quality soil, which means a inactive volcano will provide a healthy supply of high quality trees and ecosystem...

Magma can spew out of volcanos to create streams of lava, and over time, the volcano can cease to erupt when it's time is up, making the island even bigger!

Then the hearthlings come and set it off... BOOOOM! Quick, get the Brick Walls!

Volcanoes and the Germanic theme don't really go hand in hand.

And this game makes terraforming nutrient-streams more than a little overcomplicated.

What people? You'd have to be pretty stupid to play for a week or 2 and be bewildered by runestones. And god forbid people start reading the forums and wiki...

I support the sing board idea. Biggers boards where people can stick (and take) a limited number of written parchments or maps would be nice too. I like the idea of playing the game without external tools, like snapshot mapping or irc, using only game features. Consider adding new skills if all of this "ingame communication stuff" were added to the game.

Please, can you tell me? I don't know how to do this.

There's a bunch of them on Iceland. ;)

There are over 250 volcanos in the Eifel region, all inactive though nowadays.
