Since when do the devs do resurections on request?

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Like negotiating with terrorist right? No slippery slope there either.

Well, I suppose the slipperiness of the slope would all depend on who had control, and how they got it.

Which is why such arguments should never be taken in the first place.

Where do you draw the line? Is it enough if I just say that someone else was using my account? Or do we need some kind of evidence, like logs that prove that the last access came from different IP address?

O.K. So lets say that someone uses my home PC to log into my account, commits crimes and gets my char summoned. Should I be resurrected?

Exactly. This is Internet, how do we know that you really exist? Maybe you're just an alt of Rage, his Dr. Jekyll?

How the hell did someone else get control of his character? This all smells extremely fishy to me.

Would you mind completing your simile? What exactly is like negotiating with terrorists? I fail to see any relation to the topic at hand.

Anyway, to answer the question the thread puts forth and with my limited knowledge I would have to say when someone asks and the Devs
agree that a resurrection is an appropriate action.

Now either let the shitposts continue, or we can actually try to answer that question in more detail.

Saying that the action taken sets a slippery precedent ignores the other side of the problem. If the situation had been ignored, then the precedent would have been set that avoiding in game crime response measure (scents) would have been ok.

The same way all great people fall: Trusting the wrong ones.

Come and tell me when it's time to

If you share your password with someone and it gets you killed, it's your own damn fault for being stupid. I mean, if I drown, should I get resurrected because I thought I could make it across? You make decisions, you live with the results. It was the main thing I liked about H&H, and now it turns out it doesn't work like that after all.

If someone takes control over your char, then tell bye-bye to it, it`s your fault. But if the char was beaten to death by annoying bug, then it must be resurrected, IMHO.

I think I'm gonna use a proxy when I go raiding from now on, so I can claim that someone else was controlling my character.
