what would be really cool is some kind of grappling minigame whereupon, if successful you could lift an animal (or a player, i suppose) over your head and throw it at a rock

Throwing a bear at another player would probably be one of the most awesome things to do.

Eeeh you don't even need 20 marksmanship to hunt a trapped fox, with 10 MM, a q5 sling and a bit of patience anything is huntable...

No real need to speed up an aspect of the game that's supposed to be difficult for newcomers, as is beggining to hunt for larger animals.
