ah i was searching for caps not limits, that makes sense. bt i dont think a limit is a good idea i just think that the base value should cap around 200, mabye have actual items that increase it.

it would make battles more realistic, and armor and weapon workmanship would be all the more important.

By what reasoning did you arrive at such a nice, round, arbitrary-sounding number?

100 seemed too small and 300 seemed too big.

If you were going to cap just the combat skill values, why have them at all? Wouldn't attributes, beliefs, equipment, and combat abilities be enough?

Yea thats what I thought. Too shortsighted to consider real changes, you'd settle for band-aids instead.

Realism? That's the best you could come up with? Please.

Jack, did you make a post some time ago about doing away with the #'s. If so pls link it.

I also agree on there should be something to "limit" combat abalities. wasn'tthat one of the things that made darkfall problematic?(had peeps walkin around with insane magic stats or something to that effect)

Too many posts, by now its ad nauseam - devs are well aware of my opinion. Animal levels and combat skill values remove challenge from H&H, making the game less of a game.

Combat is an important part of a pvp permadeath game; it should never be trivial, any player should be able to pick up a weapon and contribute, even if they are a peasant with a pitchfork. Invincibility is not doing H&H any favors. I'd flesh this post out more but I have to go.
