You have not yet shown why this is a fun mechanic (disregarding any realism arguments).

You have not shown any sources (Wolfang, I am looking at you) to prove that cannibalism to gain FEPs (or the RL equivalent) were common practice in the period/location of the game setting.

Cannibalism for survival, like in the siege of Leningrad or that LOST, Andes Edition-movie, does not count.
Yes, many people would rather eat a dead human, than dies of starvation, but a huge percentage of those again would first eat their carpets and candles.

I'm sure this link probably has several examples of canibalism.

Since we're talking pre and too middle ages.

And it's fun cos u can 'say' you ate them.

I most certainly have. I mean. If ZOMBIES doesn't qualify I don't know if the whole idea of just litterally devouring your enemies when they really piss you off and actually having motivation to do so (among other choices of things one might do with a corpse).

Sounds yummy. With a pinch of fingernails and Hearthling intestines?

Something more appropriate would be ritual desecration of corpses, lots of bog mummies have had their nipples and noses cut off, and shit like that. Dunno how it'd be useful the game, maybe it should be required for witchcraft or something (I'm for magic, but only subtle magic).

...I'd be quite interested to see "Dead Man's Nipple" in someone's inventory.

Lol.

Shouldn't that not also effect the ancestor stats that are ... erm, left over.

Would just like to throw out a quote from Jackard in the Suggestions Guidelines sticky...

Jackard wrote:Avoid realism-based arguments and needless complexity - simplicity and gameplay will trump realism every time.

And another, from the "About" page of the website...

About page wrote:Haven & Hearth is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) set in a fictional world loosely inspired by Slavic and Germanic myth and legend.
(I've high-lighted what I feel to be some key terms.)

Okay fine, have it so you can use a ritual and summon the dead to feast the living...

Look all I'm syaing is dead bodies are kind of boring right now and it'd be nice to be able to do cool shit with them that's all. Gives PvP a little..erm..flavor...
