I think bears should spawn in caves. :shock:

No. Mouflon migrate, that's why I only suggested removing grassland spawns for them (since grasslands are the "flattest" of their spawn terrain).

That is actually an interesting idea too, I like it. The only problem is, most of the time bears are deep in caves is during hibernation when they are inactive... although that would make them particularly dangerous and aggressive. Perhaps bears in caves would always be in rage mode?

But also, it depends on the cave; for example the cave my mine is in has torchposts and a milestone trail through it, I don't see why bears would suddenly decide to move into a cave that is right in the middle of a village, how would you determine what caves are suitable for spawning? I don't see how you could with the current maps.

+1 to the OP and I like the cave idea, caves need sprucing up in general :D
If not bears then at least trolls, and not the forum kind (forum troll, distant cousin of the forest troll :P)

If not bears in caves, perhaps giant spiders (although that's a little bit of a cliché).

I can also see the problem with the milestones AnnaC, I often go afk whilst my character follows milestones throuth the cave to my mine. Should be ok to spawn bears and things if the mine area of the map hadn't been loaded for quite some time. Nature claiming it back.

I'm gonna bump this. Only modificiation is I don't care if mouflons keep their current spawns as well.

Mountains need some fauna. Atleast any mountains that aren't claimed by giant bullshit empty personal claims.
