It has been suggested before.

But, I do like the idea and it is more constructed than the other ideas I seen, so +1

Note that i am not referring to it as a terra forming tool. it would be under buildings. and would hold fish and have some way of increasing the quality of water in them. but only be able to increase the quality if they are not being used to farm fish. and the water should be set at a certain amount in them. maybe they gain 50L a day and have a max of 1000L. depending on the size of the pond as well.

H&H has a dilemma.

Nobody wants to be directly next to a river. These are the highways of the game. You wouldn't want to live next to a highway, would you?
On the other hand, nobody wants to be far from water and have to rely on a well (the inefficiency and slowness if you need a lot of water just sucks so hard). Wells, imo, are only worth it if you absolutely have to - i.e. you want to live next to a mine or something far from water. Or if the well gives very high Ql water.

So maybe we could have small streams that can't be sailed on, can be walked through/over, and can have water gathered from them. And ponds. *shrug*
