Should World 4 be a "Test World"?

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

I think it would be better if they straight up messed with our stats if they wanted us to test something related to that; I see no reason why dozens of hours must be spent grinding to test a feature. But then I guess they might not have to test stuff like that, and it does make sense to test unstable things on a test server as Grelf mentions. Our testing seems to be limited to rare bug reports, critique/ideas, and helping bring about balance by seeing how easy/hard it is for us to do things naturally. It would be nice if we weren't left to continue playing normally/excessively just to be wiped, but I guess that's inevitable since we have to wait for updates to be ready.

Should definitely be a test world in my opinion.

The world as it is W3 seemed more geared to testing all of the overall pace of the game, and this is good and all but will change with the little things, it was nice to see how things worked over time, cows, etc, what people didn't like for timing (silk), what people did for LP along the way, how fast they progressed, etc.

There were changes to the major timeflow of the game, but they are looking to incorporate a lot more as time goes by. With the new LP system that they had scrapped a LOT of stuff was changed, it could easily take you over a week to learn how to make a boat because LP was more complicated then just grinding LP, learning a skill.

Any longterm changes are changing so much what does it matter to monitor them.

Maybe two worlds with one having updates like that which destroyed W3 and one with only proven stable updates would go. But we might be on limited space, and plus we're still in Alpha, so this might be a bad idea.
