some polls were nice, especially for the c+i
easier than the +1/-1 thing, and more clear

because you idiots would only ever use them for idiocy hth

not only do polls increase entitlement but votes are meaningless to begin with. if you have strong feelings on a subject how about you make a post to back it up

Thanks but I don't want polls everywhere on the forum, they are annoying and polluting.

case in point, this thread. are there many people posting in support of their chosen stance, making an effort to sway opinions?

no. you have dozens of lazy retards mindlessly echoing "+1" forever

Polls serve as a quick and easy way to see how many people support an idea. There isn't really a need for them to explain why they support it - the idea should be explained in the opening post and anyone who agrees must think "Yeah, this would be nice to have". I don't think we need 47 people posting what I just posted to express their desire to have the ability to create polls.

It doesn't really matter if some obscure idea gets 100 votes supporting it; the bottomline is that jorb/loftar make the decisions around here. However, it is possible they'd be influenced by seeing that much support for an idea without having to read through 10 pages of crap.

If it gets annoying, excessive/useless polling could be considered an offense, or polling could be limited to Critique & Ideas.

At least you are trying.

Exactly. What the public favors is irrelevant - your goal is to convince the developers of implementing your idea. And majority approval has nothing to do with an idea being worthwhile. IMO If you want a poll for something important, request it from the mods.
