That sounds good. Maybe animal that engages in a fight because it realizes it's cornered might have a various considerable fighting bonuses, encouraging a hunter to plan the hunt so animal always have a little hope so to say, preventing the "cornered rat" scenario. Though that one might actually be very hard to implement.

And tbh i've never heard of Unreal world. I just think that H&H is the kind of game that can use some of rl animal reasoning, i mean i think that would be fun and i can't expect that from, for instance, wow :-)

A pulse every now and again pointing in the direction of the nearest animal? A very basic way to simulate they have seen some "sign" of the animal such as a broken twig or a big pile of bear poop and deduced the direction to go.Obviously not as complete and realistic as you have suggested, but likely something that could be implemented easily?

I don't see what's is wrong with something being a little less realistic, but the point of getting additional complication in the suggestion is to prevent "casual" hunting for a really advanced players. If i get this idea correctly than player with a godlike stats would just use tracking, finds the nearest animal one-shots it and tracks another one in a minute and so on. But if there is someway to deal with very high player stats and it would be probably easier to implement i think it's a worthy idea.

Thought i still say that it might be more fun experience if things are a little more complicated, otherwise it's just pve with boars.
