Run while holding liftables

So you're saying anyone willing to get over 100 str should be able to be supermen? That's the problem I see there. Sprinting while holding a barrel should rightly so require 2,000+ str, even just walking one should require 500+ str.

Hell if it was only 120 str I'd get alts to there just so they'd be more useful, 2,000? not so much.

You're still saying that the average endlevel player here would be able to do all of these things, in fact anyone dedicated could get 500 str within a month or so of the start of the game, BBC/MBC once you domesticate cows and get pumpkins pretty much assure that it's easy as all hell to get STR.

Well anyway, I'd be more for something similar to the sqrt way it works yeah, just not so low (/10 that is)

Perhaps If it was sqrt(q/100):
2x = 400, 3x = 900, 4x = 1600, 5x = 2500

Could be something similar to what you propose in terms of what each multiplier does.

Eating 500 BBC shouldn't make you a superhuman, eating 500 BBC and about 2,000 MBC though... :P

I know, but how many are there with 2500? Maybe 2? If that.

But the enormous amount of effort that takes, what's wrong with giving that some value?

More longterm goals would be nice, as it stands there are very few.

Yay for derail.

Well not really, but I dont mean for people to be superhuman, my suggestion just was: walk speed for liftables, yes all liftables, with highly increased stamina drain, maybe more drain for bigger objects.

Nothing like crawling a few locals forest with a boat on your head <<

Strength and Lifting

Postby karokan » Sat Dec 18, 2010 11:28 pm

Been thinking on a couple things for a while now, and decided to post them up. After all, what's the worst that'll happen? *pause. Puts on protective helmet.*

The first thing that I'd like to propose is Strength affecting your walking speed while you're carrying a heavy object.
A stronger person would have an easier time carrying something heavy.

Perhaps at 100 STR (Just to throw a number out there for the sake of discussing) you can carry something at Walk speed rather than Crawl? And varying tiers afterward?

Or, perhaps, expend Stamina to walk faster while carrying a heavy object?

Pretty sure this all has been discussed before. *asking anyone to dig up the old post.... if it isn't in Hel or anything*
