I can see it now: A bunch of griefers using canaries (new catchable animal, perhaps?) to locate gas deposits in their mine and then spending hours trying to catch it all in jars (because that's the best way I can think of to catch natural gas right now) and then emptying it all out into someone else's cave at night.

That would probably be the most tedious, yet most effective form of trolling ever. Takes forever to do, but then when you put it into place, it's near-impossible to notice, and practically deadly to those three people who use the official client.
