Probably could have gone with a more tactical approach to the situation other than trolling, yes.

34 LP would still be game breaking in my opinion. 54 before was just plain ridiculous.

Agreed to the OP in general, don't want to argue about exact numbers here though. You know what would make the game so much better? Curiosities replacing LP completely (just mentioning that everywhere now so the devs might give it a try).

its a form of itembased progression they used on the test server back in September/October

so its like FEP in that regard, its not something that can be easily macroed

Really looking forward to buckets nerf. There are better things that should give best lp than that crap IMO.

It's Sid's rule "When ever tweaking values always double it or half it" perhaps on steroids "Quadruple or Quarter it", the ideas is to not do small increments which might not create a noticeable change, you want a DRAMATIC effect, shake the players up get them hunting for the next exploit or perhaps after a great deal of bitching the player bases action in-game show that the new value is still too high. They learn a lot either way and approach the ideal value with fewer iterations.

This is why you want to have a peltora of potentially high LP rate activities in hand in the case that something gets nerfed.
