Actually, maybe those messages should also be visible to other people, oh and people should be able to leave comments under your message, yeah you could have full blown conversations happen in there...

It'd be just like those greek things where people all got together to discuss things, you know what I'm talking about? Like an assembly of people all interested in discussing a single/similar set of issues... I think they used to have a fancy greek word for it too (unless it was roman)

1) The idea is not to leave messages, but cast votes.
2) Being able to leave comments does not logically follow from his suggestion.
3) The forum was a public area in Roman cities, not Greek. The word was Latin, not Roman.
4) This suggestion was implemented for DF. It was and is not at all redundant. In fact, subjective as that may be, you could even say it worked. As a matter of fact it would work even better if the last, empty slot on the menus dial in-game was made a suggestions list, so we get a very good sample of the actual player population.

Really, I can completely understand that you disagree, but if you're gonna be sarcastic at least do it without embarrassing yourself.

And, if you want a more tangible answer, name the playerbase's 5 currently most wanted features and their respective ratios (semi-large confidence intervals are fine).

these give sense of entitlement and resentment if ignored

what players want is not always what is good or what they need.

devs are not infallible but tend to see the big picture

Goons want:
Dick hats
Dick pants
Dick shirts
Duck hats
Frog hats

As the majority we have the right to vote for these.

You know, to take this seriously for a second, how can you even be sure they'll all vote the same? Some goons don't even live in Gooncastle.

Besides, there's what, over a thousand players? I'm sure there aren't 500 goons. I'd be surprised if there are more than 300.

I'm sure you're really proud of your teeming little horde, Delamore, but honestly you are not the entire playerbase.

I'm sure Jorb can bring in some numbers on active players.
