OMG Blaze, that's disturbing even to me. :)
(It reminds me painfully much of that nice li'l scene in episode 5 of Elfen Lied...)

More to the point, my long-standing thought was that inheritance should be even less flexible than right now, with skills, too, being bound by the previous character, but the points you make are actually very good. I'll consider it.

Just something I thought of, maybe the ability to pay LP or go through some process to "Heirloom" a piece of gear, so it would be passed down when you die. Especially with the quality system in the new world, so if you make the "world's best bow", you can have it designated as an heirloom to be passed down to future generations.

you can pass down all your stuff already as long as it wasn't taken from your body when you died
