I think the idea is cool. I like the concept of not being able to recognize quality above your own skill. Trade scams ahoy!

His post is a sarcastic retort to something said in another thread.

Really? I wasn't aware of that. I thought it was a retort to the people in this same thread who kept saying it was a bad idea. I agree with the idea and think it would be great to have in the game, as it would lessen the insane frenzy over "High Quality" stuffs, and give more meaning to specialization. How is that trolling?

I really don't care whether you warn me or not, but I must say mine was a lot less trolling then some posts I've seen others make, and at least it wasn't a Bash or a Flame *shrugs* I suppose we'll just let the public decide who's in the wrong here.

well they already tried it and it was terrible and they took it out, so you may think it's great all you want.

Yep, I will think it's great.

However, I happen to feel that JUST perception to determine the quality of an object was a bad plan. Combine Perception + Skill required to make the item, however, and you're talking.

This is why it was terrible. It killed off all trade. All of it.

It's not coming back.

This I find strange, you'd figure you'd have trade-masters whose job it was to see to this kind of things for villages, and let peoples reputations precede them when it came to general trade.

Well, that's not what happened. It may sound nice to you in theory, but in practice it was broken.
