You don't need EIGHTY stamina to cross a river. I've crossed everything just fine with 48. Got a close call with a 6 tiles river (I think).

Don't get swimming at all. Even if you want to try it, most likely you'll die.

I would advise against getting swimming until you have the constitution necessary for it, else you will probably just end up getting yourself killed. Even if you don't try to cross a river, you may end up accidentally swimming while walking along a coast if you're not careful.

^ I asked this because apparently I could see a little exploit to hoard bread.

- Make new alt character, get bread from noob chest.
- Farm 700 LP, get fishing/swimming.
- Store bread in hidden containers for your main account to eat for CON.
- Set beliefs to Tradition by one point.
- Find the nearest river (W or NW of Brodgar)
- ????????????????
- Reincarnate and repeat.

Of course, that's if a hearthling has a working wheat farm/bakery set up at this point of time already.

I haven't seen any wheat at all. I expected that it'd be in the yellow grasslands, but those are empty.
