Once again, realism arguement. I for one, would like a use for torches.
"Normal" is only a difficulty level in video games - Aso11
Jackard: Koya only raises the lynx so he can molest it later
Koya: What means "molest" ? Translator cannot translate it or do it with no logics...
"And no im not native to english, I was born in the usa." - A very bad troll.

Weeeeelllllll, it would give torches more use other than for just caves. ANd any way, a lot of people use clients with night vision. The torch needs another use such as this.

I've suggested both buffing players within lightradius and making all lightsources permanent. No response from devs.

your sneaking ability should be determined by your stealth, even though it would make it an 'arms race'

Rather than making it impossible to sneak, in the light, it should just make it a lot harder.

This tile type that you are standing on, as well as nearby objects should affect this as well. you shouldn't need to stand behind them to get this bonus,
because that makes south and east gates magically safer.

Ranked difficulty of tiles
Any Paved Tile
Grass/Hearth/Moor/Beach/Shallow Water/Mudflat
Broadleaf Forest/Conifer Forest/Cave
Thicket/Swamp

Obviously the amount of light should also play an important role, but even if it is the darkest of nights, you would have to be pretty sneaky to hide in a paved road.

it might also be good if moving affected this as well, but i am not sure

absolutely not

Why not? it seems only logical, considering implied intentions.

Because the ability for victims to track down their loss and seek revenge is an important mechanic that. Born regulates griefing, reduces rage quit and encourages intrigue(drama).

Villains already have sufficient protection if they invest in brick walls
