Since this world started I've only ever built 1 house, and it was only after I left scents someone could summon me with. Basically, don't build houses any more. Problem solved.

It's not a terrible idea, it would be a little bit of fun, but have close to zero impact on the gameplay.

It does seems suspiciously close to achievements though

have a forager, you build the house on your
own, it takes about 30 minutes to drag 20
logs down into a cave if you're not a noob, then
while you're building the sign go get a muffin.

When you get back your forager will have lots
of goodies for you, not to mention you should
be studying while you're building that house and
chances are you'll get a wonderous wood shaving.

LP.
House.
Muffin.

Good to go.

The reward for building a house is having a house. I wouldn't complain if they added LP but I'm happy with it the way it is.
