I realize the fallacy in my actions attempting to discuss this with you and apologize for wasting both of our times. With that said, I'll avoid using passive aggressive statements further in this message.

The balls in your court. I've provided reasonable basis for why your idea is utter garbage and you've done nothing to defend it or build it up. You may reprimand me and mock me to your hearts content but it fills neither of those criteria.

Lets see...

I presented an idea that on using the same method akin to the Village Claim requiring the constant flow of LP from it villagers to attach something simmilar to that of Claim Stakes because of the simplicity of players being able to Idle an Alt offline to Great large amounts of LP via Curos. But I realized that in using LP to sustain the Claim in the same way that Villages work would be redundent due to the fact that it doesn't solve anything. I mention the use of CP (Claim Points) a new set of points that you gain while working much like gaining LP was before the introduction of LP. Now you gain CP while playing the game and without a constant flow of this the Claim Stake becomes dead.

This would prevent the Large Node Claims that cover the world.

I also mention something very briefly that it could be used with Village Claims aswell instead of LP...

In whole this seems like it could work to a point...

~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

You come in...

No, the Curo system works fine, we don't want to gain LP the same as before...

~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

If anything the fact that you only seemed to read another Noob saying that the Curo system is shit, bring back LP from work. And then when what you didn't read in the OP is made more clearer you then attempt to say that my idea is stupid due to the fact that I am not solving anything with this suggested Point system. Your points are not in the end Reasonable because it is not based on the actual subject. For a little more clarity on this I will use Apples as what I have said, and oranges as what you have said...

Me:
I think Apple Juice should be in the game because of it has a different taste to that of Orange Juice.........

You:
As if, Stupid Idea, Orange juice is better now that they removed the sugar, and now you want them to put it back in. Get lost...

It can be used for Villages as well by using the same method as before. Do something to fill the meter, if not it drops down to the point that a Claim stake or Village idol can become Destroyable or just falls apart...

This means that if you want to keep that Large area of Clay/Soil/Mine/Water ETC Safe, MOVE THERE AND PLAY THERE. This should not be a game of Idle to be rich...

what you should note is, Loftar himself is against the claim decay, or claim degradation as you call it.
the reason is that he sometimes wants to go for a long holiday not worrying about his claim in game :)
(dont tell me that's bull, thats what loftar said on IRC more than a few times now)
i asked him what if letting it start to decay if the char doenst log in more than 2 months, and then he said, he might want to go on vacation longer than 2 months xD so, this decay or degradation would never happen, unfortunately.
loftar also mentioned that he did realize this was a big problem, and thinking of a way to fix, but no idea how, yet.

so, if you want to suggest something for the alt claim issues which can actually happen, youd better leave this "play there to earn" thought behind first.

If you had actually bothered to use search, you'd have probably ran across that factoid. In the 6-8 months I've been playing, I've seen many ideas for implementing PC decay, all of which have been shot down by that one statement.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

If we put a old LP-like system for maintaining PClaims then you would just make sure you had your bot log on daily (or weekly) and lay stone for an hour to regain his points. It becomes something that is just there to annoy everyone. More chores is bad. Alt Claiming is annoying but it's part of the fundamental nature of the game.

I know it's not directly related to the topic at hand (claiming resources), but it was brought up in another thread and I definitely think it should be addressed...

At least make it so that foraging items off of claimed land doesn't leave vandalism scents (like in previous worlds). With so many foragables directly tied to LP gain now, and a limited amount of terrains holding the best ones (mountains/swamps), it's become increasingly common for people to train up claim alts and throw a claim down on every single swamp/mountain they find, which I feel is disingenuous to the purpose of claims. Sure you could argue that they're just securing another sort of "resource" by claiming the land, but foragable items just seem like a different thing than solid resource nodes like clay and water.

This simple change would help get rid of a lot of the giant alt claims we've been seeing spring up this world I think.

Why the fuck do you think people claim their mountains and swamps in the first place?

To prevent greedy little bastards from snatching all the curios. Sucks you can't pick foragables on claimed land, but making that not leaving a scent would be stupid.

To keep people from foraging on them... which is why I posted an idea to make that unnecessary... in a thread about the growing trend of massive claims all over the place........

Did you even read my post? Of course I know WHY they claim them. I want to remove that need and in turn remove some of the ridiculous excess claims throughout the world.
