If you're gonna pick apart the gameplay reasons his suggestions don't work, that's fine. But a lot of you are merely being assholes to a valid suggestion post, which discourages future suggestions from the OP and others. Kinda stupid to discourage people from making suggestions to improve a game you enjoy.

Dude, not really. It actually is difficult to read text when it is crammed together like that. Furthermore, a post should really focus on a few good ideas, rather than be a compilation of every single thing a person can think of. Why should we spend our time reading that? Heck, I could spend the next 24 hours thinking up page after page of suggestions, but I wouldn't expect anybody to read it.

That being said, I saw BARNS in there somewhere, which is a good yet already suggested idea, and I saw someone talking of mansions earlier. I can take Manors (Typically, the lord of a fief's home) which would be the lawspeaker's/chieftain's/hirdsmans' home. But mansion, in the modern term, I cannot.

Oh no, difficult to read!? You poor soul! We should require every post here have perfect grammar, punctuation, spelling, and have TED-talk quality presentation skills, right? That's a sure-fire way to get good suggestions generated!

All I know is as a tester, designer, and balancer on professional games, it's been grabbag mass-suggestion posts like this one which have generated some of the best ideas I've seen for games. The vast majority of the ideas might merely be average, but the 1-2 good ones grab you and you rush off to implement them.

It's a combination of the psychological trait where people are more likely to choose something if given alternatives, and how letting ideas spill out in a brainstormed fashion actually generates some of the better ideas.
