Punch also has 75% weight as well (even though the description doesn't say). However when subjected to the sqrt gauntlet it becomes 86.6% weight. For the record all of the weights go through sqrt including modified ones from advantage and maneuvers. Is this intentional?

One of my concern is that if one person successfully strikes another through their defense, it is almost impossible for the one struck to recover even on an individual based fight much less a squad battle. An element that causes this is the individual that strikes gains a point of advantage, making consecutive attacks much easier to land and harder to counterattack. Another is simply being put in a position of having no defense where someone with flex and bloodlust activated can almost rapid-fire attacks if they do not recover their defense (the same way animals attack).

That is more of a problem with Unarmed currently. Once a punch gets through your defense, you are most likely royally fucked because they can pretty much spam it to keep hitting you with bloodlust and 1 flex and gaining further advantage. Melee doesn't have this problem.

I'm probably going to catch some flaks for this but punch doesn't need to be nerfed, it should be changed.

Someone already made mentions of this before but why is shield the only melee maneuver?

I feel if someone punches my Steel plate, his hand should hurt more than me........., not go tru my steel plate.....

Maybe attacks always should cost IPs? Or you need at least 50% attack bar for punch to stop punch spam? Or adv shouldn't work for punch?

Perhaps they should create a move or maneuver that will benefit you and/or punish those that attack while it is active so that one cannot senselessly punch without losing. This balances unarmed without nerfing it directly while also adding another element to combat. Of course there must be a balancing factor to prevent someone from simplying having it up or making the situation worse for the user that constantly have it up.

Not bad. It'd definitely add more dimension to combat. However, only the most experienced and skilled fighters can take on multiple opponents without getting the crap beat out of them, kinda like the system works now.

Light, frequent punches definitely throw a fighter off balance farther, but they don't knock a guy to the ground. Maybe the amount of advantage gained should be some proportion to the amount of attack that actually got through the defense. As it is, a person gets a full point of advantage for even getting in one point of damage. I know that advantage is tracked to at least the first decimal as some moves give fractional advantage.
