Hmm I like the idea.... I don't see where I would use it.... only people I've ever meet in game was two Russians and a random person in a boat But it would be cool! I think....
What is the point to this?

The world may never know!

Actually it's perfectly okay to discuss topics in threads with basis already. It'd just be nice if people contributed something rather than giving threads an essential "Wow that's cool" reply.

noaah is on the right track but the capacity can't be all that high, the trick is that they need to be able to transport something of High TIME sensitivity in order to make the asynchronicity worthwhile cause you absolutely want the recipient to get the item/message as soon as possible even if I'm logged off when they next log on. Scents would be the ideal message, when your best friends been Murdered and your have a rapidly fading scent that needs to be tracked down by some Rangers a few super grids away your going to be glad for Pigeon-mail. I think a general 1x1 inventory space would work if restricting it to paper would be too technically difficult.

This type of low-bandwidth transport might also factor in to changes in the Travel system if the long speculated 'less teleportaion' changes ever come about, it's presence would still allow the long arm of the law and the player justice system to react fast possibly even faster then the criminal elements.

P.S. Most of the Falconry stuff I had suggested before with regard to catching small game, but not the debuff on large animals, that was a nice addition.

I approve of scent-carying falcons.

I like this idea, mostly just because it adds flavour. Id like to see poeple stop attacking threads just because they seem to think somethings else is more important. This is an idea thread, so we share ideas. The devs are able to prioritize what needs to be done over adding falcons, so thread on falcons wont derail the whole development process.

As i said, i like this idea for its falvour, the game lacks things to do thats not absolutely needed or practical. (or pointless raiding)

Id love to take my falcon out to do some hunting just for the fun of it, falcons was a past time for decadent lords and people with fat bellies and starving pesants. To spend lots of time with it, watching it grow, add Q(level), get better and hunt better.

Perhaps after a time you can release it and it will pass beyond your view range and return with a capured rabbit for you you did not know you where missing.

And i would aboslutely love carrier pigeons, yes we can use chat, but thats not very ingame now is it. Id love to log on to find a pigeon with a greting from my friends, rather than a boring PM. PMs are good for practicality, pigeons are fun! and cute
