He has a point there. The fact that it takes 32 hours to get back to full trad doesn't mean that the thief is unable to steal for a week or so, but for exactly those 32 hours (or at most 48 hours if you take into consideration crashes and lag and whatnot). Macroing for that is far too easy. If someone is really determined, he could even have 2 thief alts, that he rotates with. One day, one steals and the other passes time macro-belief-changing, and the other day, the roles are reversed.
But i disagree with his proposed solution, for the reason that 'justice' whether self-defense or stealing back stolen goods or whatever would penalize the 'justice' giving' party as well as the 'evil/bad/whatever' party.
I'm hoping that the devs would find a fix for this suicidal thieving soon, maybe by finally overhauling the whole crime and scent system, and also with ancestral worship (which hopefully will render the trad/change belief bar obsolete)
