Imho, it would be extremely annoyiing to me personally to see rollovers poping up all over on objects I don't care about. It doesn't have to take as long as chopping a stump but there is a very important game mechanics that would make this versus rollover very important.

It would leave tresspassing scents on claims and make tech recon slightly more difficult. You couldn't just walk up to someones village and scout everything on their claim. Sure, you could code it differently so that rollovers only appear above stuff you otherwise have permissions for but I really like think scouting and recon should be more difficult and if you use rollovers how would you determine what you can and can't criminally scout on?

Ooooops, I didn't read, but I would like to see what quality my build items are, I'm kinda tired of trying to figure out what barrel is higher quality than the other one standing over there...

support  what does it matter one little skill extra to boost?

what does that have to do with the topic? this is about a mechanic for determining quality of built items (like kilns, ovens, smelters, herb tables, etc) not anything about the quality of inventory items.

definitely, desperately - mouse hover (display activate, deactivate to avoid clutter?) would be cool.
