Well, yes, but you need a constant supply of bones and dreams to do this. If I play for an hour a night, I'll end up spending a quarter of my playtime finding that. I already spend half my playtime eating. You see the problem.

Nomads are hunters, you'd need to take a dream catcher with you. If you're hunting to do your eating then gathering the bones isn't going to be a much larger effort.

Lastly, Nomads didn't just constantly move... They spend reasonably long periods of time in one place and then moved on. You could just move your claim on weekends when you have more time and still be living the dream

But I agree the idea of a nomadic character (MAPPER!) sounds very exciting.

you make a good point but there are a couple ways around it.

1. make a couple of perquisite skills to be able to use a tent. nothing major, just so that you couldn't instantly create a character and go out camp griefing. possibly a (refundable?) LP cost to place the tent claim.
2. larger distance requirement between tent claims and regular claims (only calculated when placing the tent claim). so, if someone placed a tent claim, it would have to be, lets say, 100 tiles away from any regular claim. it would not prevent someone from placing a permanent claim 5 tiles away from that tent claim afterward.

In addition to the idea of temporary claims, we should also talk about our fiendish addiction to sausages and baked goods, neither of which are realistically attainable without trading or building a settlement. And even if you do trade, it's going to be a barter based on lucky coincidence of wants. What can wanderers acquire that farmers and villagers really want? Chantrelles by the cartload?

Whats wrong with carrying 3 chests and a dream catcher? As for bones chances are you will be attacked by animals just take the bones off them.

Chantrelles, Maps, Cavebulbs, High quality Raw meat, You could also look for mines and sell them with a map to the area.
