Strange Crystal doesn't have a fixed q. The Q is equal to the rock it's taken out of. Otherwise, the quality of the goldbeater's skin determines the Q of the silver portion.

I like your idea but I hate Trad/Change so I'd rather see them not included in ideas. Otherwise, it's quite clever.

Well... I.. ugh. Now this, after I suggest C&I should be locked. I cannot do anything else than support this.

But what would happen if you took the ring off while studying something?

Also, does the time reduction remove a fixed amount of the study time (e.g. a 5% reduction of a 24hr curio would be 1 hour and 12 minutes), or would it increase the speed at which the timer drops? Because the last solution might work better , as it allows one to take it off without any issues regarding taking advantage of the buff. ( as in adding the ring so it cuts off the time it can, and then removing it again, thus allowing one to only use it for 5 seconds, but still score full potential of the ring's bonus.) whereas the other will just let one go back to the usual, slower rate.

Interesting idea, I think it should be something like a pocket watch though, rather then a ring. Just an idea. :D
