I very strongly agree with you.

I think if people could go in beds, and healers could do something to them with herbs and bandages, allowing them to slowly heal, it would be cool. Also, a medicine man should be able to remove thorns.

Anybody should be able to remove thorns, but with normal people there should be the chance of leaving behind small bits that become infected and give slight soft hp damage over time, then eventually hard hp damage. Medicine men could remove it without any problems.

@Loftar- The reason I suggested Guilds/Guild-Lords is because Jorb mentioned something a while back about wanting civilized areas to be more productive than the wilderness.
I figured something like a specialized guild would allow for this.

don't thorns last less than a minute now? or until you put on shoes?

I agree that something needs to be done to address this issue. However, I think that would be the task of another system of government than villages. We have plans for, and there is code infrastructure already in the server for, other systems of government than simple villages. It will, for instance, probably be possible to upgrade a village into a "town" or something, which would have other abilities. It will also be possible to create formalized aggregations of lower-level governments, so that, for instance, villages and towns can be annexed into kingdoms, and so on.

If there were confirmation on "leave village", we'd probably be swearing people less than half as often, particularly in the smaller villages. As it is, though, it ought to be possible to get oneself resworn when there's only one fellow villager on - or none. (And yes, I see all kinds of potential problems if any village member could swear in new members; there does need to be a 2 tier system.)

No idea, considering that I have some crap clogs, I wouldn't know.
