Haha you make me laugh @painhertz , you prove everything I say about the shockingly bad community built around the game, I remember the days before Salem with the developers saying 'Haven and Hearth's development will carry on as usual', where did that go? eh? don't start insulting me, be constructive.

A perma-death survival game isn't exactly what you call a mainstream genre and some are turned off by the fact that you lose your characters when you die. That being said, the genre itself is starting to pick up some steam now.

In the past, we had hundreds of players in the world playing simultaneously and without any major resource issues and the numbered hadn't lowered too much until later world 6. The reason why there are not many players at the moment is because there are constant periodic lag that delays your actions by several seconds. The developers can be able to fix the problem but, aside from Salem, they are also working on revamping the game as well as the code and it would not really make too much sense to continue to develop the older version while development on the revamp is taking place.

In the meanwhile, other players have migrated to other games. Some are playing them while in waiting while others are playing on a more permanent basis. I do know that should an announcement that Haven 2.0 finishes, many people are going to jump here.

I am happy to hear that development continues ( Patchouli_Knowledge ) but could you link me so I could see for myself, rather than playing chinese whispers, but I appreciate the information, thanks. :D

As to say, it isn't just one guy whom makes me think the community is bad, multiple threads I create are hated against, mainly opinionated ones, from what I've seen, this community is based around pali-bashing and cement-made opinions. I would love to believe that people on this forum and game aren't just jerks, but past experience points otherwise.

Thank you. More constructive than ostracizing myself from an entire community by calling them all jerks and then pretending to be the victim if I may say so myself.

I'm saying past experience points me to believe that everyone is here to criticise someone else, I once had a village of which I worked hard on solo, no one else ever helped me, I built a palisade and a farm myself and things were quiet because I could not do certain things alone, such as mining as I was a farmer. One day I logged on, found my entire palisade destroyed, my farms wrecked and put on the floor spread around, I found a runestone close by saying 'for the lols bro' that was the worst experience I had playing this game, finding that people could just wreck your entire gameplay for fun, which they did.

Welcome to Haven and Hearth. If you get upset over that (which I don't blame you) and generalize a few bad threads you've seen around the forums then this game and forums are just not for you. You'd be probably better off over at the Salem forums. From what I've heard they're pretty tame compared to the Haven forums. After-all, Paradox owns Salem.

lolwhut?
"tame" may not be wrong to describe it, but, ha ha, youd better see it for yourself before recommending anyone to go there unless their sole issue is "lag".

@op, you know, as FictionRyu said above, your experience is not exactly the worst that can happen to you in this game and it wont change even when devs come back for development again.
