No I can't say I like your idea. It forces goals upon people. Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned on games but give me the tools and let me decide how I choose to play. Id much rather have more items, things to customize, and skills that continue past what they are now than a race to capture items that are going to despawn in a month anyway.

As for a fully explored and updated map, no. I see no reason why you should know things about places you have never been to. Its one thing for players to share their learning's like they do in the Wizards Tower. At least they went out and explored.

Making siege of villagers more important...if you wish violence just upset the wrong people in the game. I think fixing the broken combat elements are more important first.

I can understand your bored with the massive slow down in player activity and much already accomplished and set but if you really look there are plenty of goal you can set for yourself. If your into the fast paced and desire combat join one of the many factions or groups that do that. No need for scoreboards, set your own success.

You missed the point entirely, none is forcing you to get the relics, and you can go through the game without ever getting a relic if you desire. Could also make the relics only moveable by picking it up, that would stimulate pvp.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

No I understood your point. Random spawning of these relics could put them in places that threaten peoples security. If it lands on someones private claim or a village claim and they don't realize it they are now a target whether they want to be or not. The game hardly needs more pvp stimulus. Your suggestion only makes it a more violent world. The rest of your points I already addressed.

They wouldnt spawn on claims, that would defeat the purpose of finding them and putting them on your village claims.

Just fantasizing a bit.

You could have relics/monuments/statues that on there own do nothing, but when combined give something. (So you have a relic, but can you keep it long enough to get a other one.)

- Different combinations give different stuff. (the 'what' could also have some random aspect here.)

- If stuff is some skill bonus, it could diminish over time. (No auto despawn needed. CQ: item needs to be destroyed.)

- Bonus could also be some special cloth or tool. Or just some nice fireworks if used at night time (or else your village will be covered in smoke for some hours. ... oops.) (yea, CTLR-N needs to be ditched first.)

- these relics can't be placed inside a house. (preventing to easy hiding of them.)

- If not liftable. How to move them ... Dragging with rope. Multiple players = faster dragging. Should be draggable onto a raft. (increased decay for the raft while a relic is on it.)

It would give those that are bored with the other game stuff something else to put their teeth in.
