depends on point of view - i did / do / will do both - if you have a village with reliable villagers that's exeptional - relying on myself and alts i know who to whip ;)

and you always should be free to choose - making a village with others or on your own with alts - a sandbox without freedom to do your own playstyle is no sandbox ... same goes for being friendly, helpfull or destructive, evil ...

playing on your own with alts in a village doesn't exclude social interaction ... and i wouldn't say that it's more unsecure or secure it just depends on the way you act...

What would I change?

Okay first.
A village is more than one person,

This is true, but i mean is not the same be with real people in a digital world knowing you're playing with people and you can talk to him or play alone with alts you cant manage simultaneously and you cant do things with team coz dont exist.

I know that doesn't exclude social interaction like you said, but some much alts and no many real people makes the game bored for me, i wont impose you this ideas... but there are my ideas :D

Actually, borka's answer was perfect which is why I didn't reply earlier. I do play with other people, real people, lol, I have a claim for new people who I interact with regularly, I have had other players stay in my village, I have stayed in other villages. I have plenty of friends in game who come to my village to help out with things and interact socially.
As for my 'overall' hermit lifestyle, it suits me, I work long hrs surrounded by people that I have to tell what to do and organize, the last thing I want when I finally get home is to do it all over again!
Playing Haven, for me, is a chance to relax and unwind and get a bit of peace and quiet. :)
