That's mainly because they were left and forgotten by their original inhabitants. If you're so sensitive I think it would be better for you to look for another game. H&H is a hardcore game.

Heres what we used to have, when someone left a scent on a claim it would send a message to the persons email, or ingame. Something along those lines. I never tried it back when it existed, but I think this would be the best choice.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

That pretty much made it impossible to raid. I say this having taken full advantage of this feature to cockblock everyone who so much as stepped on my claim.

Yup, disables possibility of sneaky raiding. But it would be kinda cool if scents expired slower while the perp is offline, much slower, and also much harder to raid someone while he is offline, which I haven't really thought how to make it harder to raid. Because it would encourage actual raids, less force summoning, etc. Would be fun.

The thing this game needs is balanced stats and vault bugs fixed. Traps will be near to impossible to make balanced because of there easy way of abuse and overkill. Although I would love to see a deterrent from people attacking me this will make it 5 times harder to attack the aggressive players that live in larger citys that have the resources to build 10 times the trap density then myself.

Anyone living in a large city is basically immortal as it stands now. Adding traps on top of that it will make things even worse.

Sending a message ingame to Tresspassperps would be nice - seems there are some ppl around with criminal acts on at default but not having "show claims" enabled ... messages to oneself for scents i don't want...in that case better a patrolling bot implemented that nags you on your desktop when scent found :P

I think we need a way that you unlearn skills (e.g. unlearnes first aid, add self-defence skill it gives several moves an instant defence and +2 intertive pionts an instant attack 3+0 intertive pionts, unlearns ranging) if you learn rage and murder tho it would give the LP back.
