Tools do not necessarily make effective weapons.
Hell, I could probably one-shot a bunch of animals with cheese trays if they were equippable.

Come to think of it, why ARE bows listed under tools?
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

I suppose it all comes down to the border between tool and tool of war.
O SHI- arguing semantics.

Anywho, let the OP have his sticks and rocks, the faster newbies learn to protect themselves, the better.

Guns are the only club type weapons that you use to "whip" people :o

ANYWHOO.. What I mean is, an axe and a club are all about preference.

A cudgel or shillelagh would be a bit faster than an ax and it would also serve as a defensive weapon.

I doubt that it's so easy in reality, but for this game that's actually a good idea!

The sharpest knives in the world are made out of ceramics. They can cut through a phone book with ease.
Those are specially made for sushi though....
