Then I wonder why when I have 50 agility with amour on, don't I get any weariness reduced.

Because your weariness is really high, because your agility was lower without armour. Think like when your HHP overrides your MHP. It shows as 100%, and even if you lower it, it might not be enough to cross the 100% threshold.
