liquid yes, touching no. eating it is bad for you though as its a heavy metal, and heavy metal poisoning is bad(lead poisoning for example).

Hey why not to add carbon fibre? You could put some silk cloth into kiln and burn it so you get nice carbon fibre and then we could do some extra light prehistorical F1 cars. ;)

You'll eventually absorb it through physical contact, but it's nothing immediate. Most likely accidentally wiping your mouth and etc.
