how is something that takes 4x the space and 6x the resources that provides 4x more storage than a chest making things too easy for people? and raephire is always posting threads requesting things that make the game easier. (make silkmoths easier to catch, which is stupid because it's not that hard, it would unbalance silk, and you only have to do it one time (or 0 times if you trade for eggs))

the benefit of a large storage structure is just that it looks a little more organized and can be accessed from any side of the container, and you can view more items at once. it's just about reducing the amount of unnecessary walking from chest to chest, opening each one. is there really any kind of critical game balance or benefit to the enjoyment of gameplay provided by having to open 4 separate containers rather than one really big one?

I like the idea of having shelves that have a very high decay rate making them useless outside, not fitting in carts, and only being able to be lifted when empty.

Also, I think a special container that has lots of room but only can hold silk moths, their growing versions, and mulberry leaves would be very nice.

hmm... wouldnt a warehouse building be a solution to this?

a building where items could be placed by right clicking door, and taken out. the weakness of this type container would be the fact its unmovable and takes alot space, but it would be just one place to store all items to know where everything is all the time.

I suggest the simplest thing so it can actually get added in reasonable time and every single time people come in with ways to make it slowly harder and harder to add.
Seriously what is wrong with just reskinning the chest and upping the size?

well to be fair he's probably an inbred bay12er so requesting bloat and overcomplicated features comes naturally to him

Nothing... I don't think he was against your suggestion at all, no reason both things can't be implemented

His idea did not involve breaking the laws of physics, lava or screaming. Bay12er he ain't.

How about sacks made out of linen or leather (or even dried hides), for storing flour, grain, coal, sand or other low density, high space requirement goods. (IE: Everything that ever was or ever will be. There's not enough space in this game). Lord knows there's enough crap leather running around in the civilized areas that could be reappropriated for more suitable tasks than holding in potential sausages.

Crates seem like the best idea. Best to just stick to that, all it is is making a new sprite and changing the amount of space it holds.
Also, I know so many people have said this idea, but this game really REALLY needs seed bags. Not the over-complicated shit people are suggesting, but just a bag which goes in your equipment (same spot as rucksack and quiver) and can hold, lets say 6x6 of seeds only.

I'd like to see transport crates too. Take planks to build. can hold a couple of liftable objects, can't be reused (ie you tear it apart to open it).
