Also mechanically, how would it work? Curios don't get consumed and LP doesn't get gained until a Hearthling logs in. There'd be no way to cycle curios into the new slots while the Hearthling is online because the curios are still in play. Besides, there is probably already a bot that can do this anyway.

The idea that this would prevent alt vaulting is bullshit anyway, as alt vaulting isn't really that big of an issue with regards to disrupting the gameworld's economy (and not too mention, is the only security method for low-tech hermits that don't have a brick wall yet).

0/10 poor idea, not thought out mechanically, nor deals with any balance or gameplay either (or could potentially make things worse more than it solves anything).

I never said it would happen while online, only offline, using this trick called "math" to calculate spare attention/time upon login. Did you even read the OP?

Low level hermits should just load their own inv up with their curios, not hard. They can also have security through obscurity by not camping near a river/curio biome, alt vaulting is hardly their only option. And I'm pretty sure I never claimed it was going to fix the economy.

Any one who wants that has to script it by himself - such an automatism would make the LP study system look BS - why not just dump the whole curio system and give automatic LP according to Int every hour... stoooopid....

and all the wasted time Loftar and jorb had discussions about ...

Yeah but I'm saying the curios don't even get used up until a hearthling is "online" and your suggestion would require changing this base mechanic of the system.

Low level hermits should just load their own inv up with their curios, not hard. They can also have security through obscurity by not camping near a river/curio biome, alt vaulting is hardly their only option. And I'm pretty sure I never claimed it was going to fix the economy.

No shit? But doing this would be they would automatically use up all their curios, which is broken as curios are the common currency in trade, it would knock them out of the trade even more than they already are. Pearls, bear teeth, deer antlers, are some of the most valueable stuff that someone who needs to alt-vault, to alt-vault. You need to store these for special projects and early on you can't get them routinely. Having this system would automatically spend high value items as curios even though they aren't needed OR WANTED to be used as curios.

I don't even alt-vault, except for recently because I was palibashed and all of my wrought and some of the steel (which I was saving for a brick wall) was stolen, so now I had to almost start from scratch; the only other thing I'm alt-vaulting is a couple pearls (and that's only because I live next to a lake with a confirmed forage bot, and even since w3 my pearl luck is bad, so pearls are hard for me to get).

But this is a bad idea anyway because it automates something that doesn't need to be automated. Curio times are already known for the most part, and many curios have similar time scales, and a variety of times depending on the activity level you expect to play at. Curio cycling is only an issue at the extreme start with cone cows, once you have any sort of economy you have enough options for curios to spread the time around depending on your needs.
