Maybe try to dissociate the "perma" aspect from making people into "oh man I'm gonna fuck this guy up and he'll lose everything he's worked for for a month". Remove the antifun, in other words.

Embrace server resets too, and the passage of time more. And seasons. One irl day per season. Add food decay and increase hunger maintenance too. It would totally change farming/harvesting/food, but that's not a bad thing.

Make progression flatter, too. More sideways branches, less overtly superior progression.

I think everyone who's played this game for a few hundred hours has their own thoughts on where they would take it. My thoughts probably go a bit too far from loftorbs plan. If only I could code.

Make characters move faster, or implement items that raise your characters move speed. I think it would just make this game so much better, more exciting, and less time consuming to do everything.

I beg you not to introduce minigames. Remove fast travel, make soil quality improvable (via composting?), avoid adding shortcuts that make farming, walking, chores, etc any easier. Perhaps introduce more craftable/buildable items that are completely useless except for the enjoyment of the crafter, such as statues or other decorations. Make exploration and simple wandering more enjoyable by having interesting landscape formations. Perhaps make rivers wider, with smaller tributaries, coming closer to real landscapes. Make ranged combat a more viable option, e.g. such that max damage is a function of perc, dex, etc.

My thought,

Have quality matter more.
Combat also gear dependant.
Tunelling requires less supports.
Warning before planting apple or mulberry on fir native :?
Better hitboxes.
More water and transportation options, less insta travels.
Quality markings for built objets.
More food varieties.
Maybe some alchemy.
Lesser time to do things like mansion building, glue cooking,...
Better authority system.
...
..

A captcha or something else requiring actual user input.
I HATE those things but botting is ruining the game at the moment (my opinion)..

second resname on sign
that would allow to show hitboxes and final object of sign

possibility to reborn on same spot after death
sometimes you don't have how to go back if some faggot will kill your char

about hitboxes... well they are pretty fucked up but fixing them at this stage would be close to impossible.

about bots, this is open source game so making bots is normal. Bad thing is that curio bots are so overpowering...
i would advice increase curio ratio by 2x and pearl ratio by 10x that will equalize chances and make curio bots uneffective

Fix the hourglass timer. 90% of bots would go away if that shitty hourglass timer was shortend a bit. By that I mean:

Reduced time it take to:
Pick curios
Craft foods
Craft items
Pick mulberry leafs
Farm crops with scythe
Butcher animals
Use a well

As ramones suggested. Make Q a bigger part of the game and as aghmed suggested. Help the community by adding a pathfinder to work both client and server side. Fix farming so plowed tiles wont convert as often and add the Ctrl Shift plant to always plant highest (small bonus would be to let seed bags allow all types of farmables).

Also a proper combat re-balance.

Hi Yasso,
I saw lots of people suffering from Java, 64 bit/32 bit problems etc. (including me). However i am aware that the many of the popular games coded in java.
