i wouldnt mind labelings, but i never find inside-visible-containers great and would love to shout a big NO.
thieves should take longer time looting, personally i even want them to leave scents for every container they check, you know how real life thieves leave fingerprints if not wearing gloves, but that is off-topic here.
to me, losing track of where you put what is your own laziness and lack of organizing abilities, or maybe the sign of getting old, like me.

I think the label would be a good thing and your personal choice wether you need it or not. I wouldn't want to have it in my house(s) aswell, since I only need begining of the world to put what will be where then I know it from head. Different things are public areas where some people sometimes just throw things in cbs and forget about it, so this would be a solution for it, so we don't need to use runestones, etc. House will have a board in front where it would say what is in it.
