You are right...
But it still would only require one new graphic. And once you've put it in a cart or boat, the direction doesn't have to be retained, when it's put out again.

And I say it just use the existing graphics. Why would the logs have to face the direction they fell? They've obviously been processed by the character, so we can just pretend he placed them facing the default direction.

If you want to talk about the shadows not being right Onion, explain how they have the exact same intensity during the night as they do day, and they don't rotate with the sun. >.>

And how they're still there when you pick up the object casting them...
