No you're totally right. Combat is warped. but Ein can't really be judged until it's effect is wieghed in the new system. As it stand it's just another grind factor.

I didn't say that. I was totally serious with combat giving everyone the same fighting chance. So why do you guys need the Einh. so much??? Quite funny....

So yeah, it's not a problem with Einherjahr aspect itself, but with the general imbalance of combat.

guys without a idea about the working combat system talk about it... just hillarous. why someone would kill blaze? he's fair guy, and i guess everyone knows it. but thats not the point. and chak just shut up fuckin retrad.

Now you guys are just being ridiculous. Combat is just a grind factor. The dev's have even promised a new system. Your personal attacks made in lieu of addressing commonly agreed upon flaws don't really support your case.

I'm not saying that players don't have a chance. I'm not supporting or dissing Ein. I'm saying it's rather a moot point till we see what comes next.

Oops you are so right. I totally forgot that every single task except combat is not a grinding task. I had reread several other threads, but seriously how can you not compare regular grinding tasks with combat? It is just that combat gives you more lp and that everyone who is not using it must be kinda stupid...so if you have to grind...why not grind combat???

I see what you did there! You're trying to imply that all tasks are grinding.

You keep using that word... I do not think it means, what you think it means...

Task variability. Stat inflation. The LP system causes the grind factor, not combat itself. COmbat being the best way to gain stats makes it the most common 'grind.' other grinds are production and give shit for LP. The fact the almost everything else is incomparable to hunting means that there is no motivation to solidly stick to a single task without reprieve. True, you CAN grind anything you want in the game. But that's a player choice between more or less equal opportunities.

The exception to this is mining. Very grindy, repetitive task people obsess over simply because of the high market/in game demand for metal. 'Grind' factor is about in game rewards and motivating factors to either task focus or to achieve something or casual task variable playstyle with more or less equivilent rewards.

Of course. I've rather already been over this in other threads. Doing the same shit over and over again makes a game very fucking dull. 'Grind factor' is %70 repetition and %30 click intensity. So you rather make my point quite well.

Excessive rewards. Totally agree.

Sounds like I have a different definition of grind to you as well... Maybe my internal definition is not correct... I'm certainly having trouble expressing it concisely...

I consider hunting for the sole purpose of raising your other stats or your ability to perform in PvP to be grinding, but hunting to get raw materials to not be grinding...

I don't consider mining to be grinding at the moment because people do it for the metal... I consider it dull and unpleasant, but not grindy... You don't start out shit at mining and mine more to get better at mining, you mine more because you want more metal...

Is that making sense?
