well you probably dont give a shit because you dont fish. i do fish because its very hard for me to get int and str food in my village. if i didn't fish, i wouldn't have any int because there is no way for me to get it currently. and ya. i see no reason why fishing gives such shitty exp. they could literally take the current exp fishing gives, and multiply it by something like 5. thats the fix, not hard.

You should make cheese DP.

if you have a cave ferment cheese indoors then in a cave. milben gives str+int, 10-10/slice base @ 5 slices per tray.

Fish is at least half of my diet. Fishing goes well with browsing, I can just tab back to H&H when the music stops. Fish is great for mixing with other food, and the FEP to hunger ratio isn't that bad.

"great for mixing with other food"? Why would you eat it together with another food and not just the other food?

as long as they're q90 they're decent enough, 3 int and 3 dex.

Because I don't want eat a single FEP more than I have to, it's a waste of food. And you can't get the exact number you need when you're eating high FEP food.

I think pole fishing could be left alone but add the ability to create a trot/drop line. (I figure a trot line would make more sense but it could be either) Combine string, hooks and bait, possibly with some kind of buoyant material, and you've got a trot/drop line. You can make it as complicated or easy to use as you want as you want. Either you could just set the trot line up in shallow water, require players to tie off the end to a nearby tree, or force players to string it across a river using a boat.

Just throwing out numbers, maybe it should take 20 string, 10 hooks, and something that floats. Maybe a fir board, I think fir would have the lowest density of all the woods in-game. Some kind of bait would be required. For simplicity sake, I would just let players load the line with worms once it is place, like a kiln. Up to ten worms. If you don't check the line, fish will rot on the hooks.

Thoughts?
