This isn't true. Massive cheese production requires a LOT of setup work. Automilk would be a more than acceptable tradeoff for milk caps and would make cheese production more than significantly nerfed even if every cow gave 200L of milk.

It takes a lot more work to get the same number of FEPs from pastries or even hunting (not counting BBBs). Cheese just has ridiculously high FEP output.

Also, I have no idea what you mean by automilk. At first I assumed you just meant continuous milking, like continuous digging etc, but as you say it'd be a nerf of some sort I guess that's not it at all.

well, cheeses are obviously very very fep rich. but thats not so bad, it takes a lot of dedication to get cheese, you need high quality trees/boards, vinegar (grapes/barrels/press) and intestines.

but, the real reason why cheeses seem to be overpowered at the moment is the fact that you can get incredible amounts of milk. one cow, and you can fill dozens of curding tabs... so, i guess (or hope...) after animal breeding is implemented, cows wont give endless amounts of milk anymore. just some liters per day or so. this would definately make cheese production harder.

the other thing is, that the quality of the equipment like tabs and trays is too important. with the shittiest milk and rennet you can make cheese over q100. thats wrong...

if those two things are changed, it all will make more sense. and i still want milk to go into barrels! you can put every liquid into barrels, WHY NOT MILK???

I think this is a placeholder until the next update.

milk into barrels! thats the way.

Unless I'm missing something really obvious that's the only uses that milk has. So why wouldn't you want to turn it into one of those? I guess you could be storing up tons of milk while waiting for a high Q churn, but as was stated you can already store 160l in a cabinet.

yeah but you need stupid amounts of buckets to do that. in barrels, you could trade milk in an easier way... and why not?? why not in barrels?

This is the best argument I've heard for allowing milk in barrels. I guess I just never considered buying milk. :|

You would if there was a quality other than 10 associated with it. This will only be a bigger problem after animal domestication. Another thing to consider is that barrels are only 5 boards where a chest full of buckets is 13 boards and 4 nuggets of metal and you lose 10 liters. Friendly numbers those are not.
Come back two hours earlier.
