No way...if they actually did add weather it would be way too crazy complex. not even gonna try to thinkof a model for that shit. Just that if it's raining it';s obviosuly not gonna start a fire and for a fire to do significant damage it owuld have to be hot and dry (all the obvious shit)

Screw weather. It would take way too long for Loftar to code and Jorb to draw. That time could be used for more important things. But, maybe you need some sort of skill to start a forest fire. Slash and burn, costs 25k lp just because it's so damn destructive. Plus, the fires would spread slowly, and not effect trees more than three tiles away.

Forest fires would be cool, but they would decimate an entire map constructed like the current one if there's not a very good way to prevent it, even that one I jut said is shitty. Trees naturally regrowing would be cool though, but without some sort of limiting system that doesn't make the forest grids made of trees, it would grow uncontrollably and every forest tile unclaimed would be a tree.

Dude. LP is going out the window. Forget it.And why should the time it takes to code even fucking matter? You want a half ass shitty game with bulshit like wind and seedbags that don't work or are you one fo those yammering noobs posting about:

"When's the next update?"
"ZOMFG UpdAtE PL0X!"
"Why didn't we get an update? And why does the server keep crashing too?"

Stfu.

I have only one question.

How rare is flint, exactly?

That could be your limiting factor right there, if it's rare enough.

Also, pardon my ignorance. I'm an idiot when it comes to geology and such.

If it's a "half ass shitty game with bulshit like wind and seedbags that don't work", why don't you try being constructive and suggesting ways to improve them instead of complaining about them? And, instead of putting down potentially good ideas, try improving upon them? The game's an alpha with two devs, dude. There are going to be problems and complications with ideas before you ever see the good in them as if it wasn't blatantly obvious enough...

And why should the time it takes to code even fucking matter? Well, if you bothered to take in what was said on this thread, the reason is it would cut down majorly on the need of player dependent reforestation and tree quality wouldn't be shitty almost everywhere.

But CG62, flint is actually pretty abundant I believe, if you're near a rocky area. You can always start a fire by rubbing sticks together for a while though.

I did that. I'm not putting down bad ideas. I'm putting down bad notions of childlike impatience
