And replace all the runestones at Novigard with that kinda Runestone...

you know, they talked about having a little question mark pop up over things that your character is "curious" about as part of their "quest" system, which i think would solve this better than changing the permanent look of the runestones.

GrimReaper wrote:Nogetsu i know you mean well but as i said before this is something that should not be controlled by a player in game. The starting zone should be maintained by the developers as they will have much more control over it and allow them to place incredible developer only building/items that will stand out so new players will know what to use or read. Simply putting up some rune stones which as said above new players don't know anything about. The fact remains you as a player cannot maintain a well organized starting zone. At any time your starting zone can be raided so all tress within a 50 mile radius will be chopped down and all items destroyed. I know you meant well but Novigard will turn into another Brodgar as new players spawn there.

why do devs have to maintain it? sandbox calls for players!
besides, news really dont read runestones... ive asked several and nobody even thought about clicking on them at all... which is odd, but that just seems to be the case...

I think people should be able to set up their own quest systems.
That'd be a great feature.
Examples:
Someone could set up a starting point for the quest. (Box would pop up, saying that a quest is available).
If the person excepts, a description of what needs to be done is given.
The quest maker could mark certain items for use, such as maybe he wants people to get him butter, and has a special HQ churn he want's used.
The person who took the quest would be given hints on where to go, maybe in the form of thought bubbles.

In the case of Novigrod, runestones could be marked, and given the hint "Maybe I should read these"

Because they need to get more players into the game. A dev can maintain the whole zone much more than a player seeing as they can delete, kill, remove and much more on command.
