Magic is a no what are you trying to make this into runescape?

Alchemy i can live with cause we coulduse more potions and maybe this would give glass another use

even with magic it wont look like runescape, just compare the skils and item trees of both games
example: trees in rs are only used for firemaking irc here they are used for how many skil and stuff => big difference and a much more copmlex item economy than that of rs.

and glass sould definatly get more uses, so does clay.

You do realize clay is used for urns clay jars teapots tea cups kilns and yes even ovens brick walls too, glass is used for glasses monocle wine glass and wine bottle.

And if you really knew runescape you would know that players can own a house which in turn need wood for accessories.

Back on point magic would run the idea of the game and im sure many people would find a wa to abuse magic in one way or another.

If anything Haven&Hearth is more of a low magic setting. This means, there might be curses or enchantments, native magic and a lot of folklore, but no running around casting Fireball to knock over cheese racks, more like a curse to have those cheese racks, say, poison the cheese that's stored on them.

And even then, I guess and hope the magic will be highly unpredictable and incomprehensible.

Poison could be into alchemy.

Im alright with like blessings or something but if i see fireballs or walls of ice shooting from a player ima make a wind bomb and kill myself.

clay already has some uses but it could be more expanded though, like mortar for example

Hm yeah...clay is only THE keyressource of the game (besides trees), but whatever...(not saying you should not introduce more uses)

Yeah if anything other base resources need to have their relevancy expanded in meaningful ways.
