Who wants to bet we will get forever fleeing animals that break through construction signs because that's how jorb and loftar do balance?

It's not that difficult of a thing to avoid. JUst centralize civilization 'hotspots' so that animals don't spawn inside villages anymore. Bear traps nerfed and Mobpocolypse avoided =)

No matter what happens for animals destroying signs, they should degrade over time. I'm tired of running into piles of "looms" and "Dreamcatchers" that consist of a single stick.
Of course, some buildings should take several days to build, but even a mansion full of stone and straw but no metal should eventually decay.
Surprise.

resistance to decay = build completion % of final buildings decay resistance.

You want to put a pile of resources on a construction site and not build them in? well fine, but it's equivalent to piling them on the ground so they will decay fast.

How about we get a way to store thousand of bricks, blocks clay or whatever first before having them decay in minutes/hours.

Introduce real traps. Humans have been using traps for thousands of years to catch animals. Digging graves with pointy sticks at the bottom and cover it, metal foxtraps, snares, scaring them to fall over cliffs or whatever they could think of making from what they had at hand. I do not think the idea of trapping is bad, even tho using the construction signs was not meant for that purpuse wich makes it a bit emo. hmm just make them turn as soon as they get close and can see a construktion sighn as they often do when they come close to the natural ridges.

Had a boar once chasing me or all the way around a natural ridge multiple times and it moved smooth. It did not get stuck as if it keept just enough distance from the surface of the ridge, seams to differ with the level of the boar, some get stuck on ridges righ away, higher levels seam "smarter" somehow.

Make animals keep just enough distance from construktion signs aswell then, so that they always get free from them, if you feel that you must stop the sign trapping.

Humans simpley like trapps. Hence why people started to use the signs as trapps in the first place, just shows why the evolution gave us top spot. We use our brains and will construkt almost anything out of anything sort of. The use of tools and trapps layed the foundation for our survival, our abillity to addapt to any enviroment on this harsh earth.

I hate bunnies jumping over the cliffs and not dying afterwards too. Bunnies aren't cats, you know.
