Loftar set the limit values, so I can't say more than that it is at least semi-intended. Obviously, mulberry trees need to hold a fuck-ton of leaves. I don't have a major issue with them being unlimited.

The voice of reason finally!

no righteous man raises his hand against the innocent,
a man need only strike another to make him evil."

Besides, there is already a reason to plant tons of mulberry trees everywhere: they make great emergency food sources. Now that fruit is limited, having a lot of fruit trees on hand can be useful.

I have no problem with unlimited leaves.

For people who are arguing about the difficulty involved in making a merchants robe, bear in mind that jorb at one stage commented on how he liked that silk was a cottage industry, and not a mass production resource.

If it is impractical to mass produce silk, then is it not more practical / worthwhile to trade for it? Have lots and lots of people make fibers slowly over the week, while they are doing their other things, then get their village chieftain to gather it all up, make threads & cloths, then trade it to wealthier villages for things like steel and gold.
